Alexander Signer
Strategy & Consulting
Born and raised in Switzerland, Alex graduated from Zurich Business School and added a post-graduate degree from the Swiss Center for Marketing, Communications and Advertising. Prior to co-founding Beige & Co., Alex worked in advertising and branding both on client (e.g. Shell, Budget, Diners Club) and agency side (e.g. Lowe, Euro RSCG, FutureBrand). For the past 7 years, he was the Director of Client Services at Harkess-Ord, the leader in worldwide brand implementation. In that role he oversaw global brand implementation and workplace branding programs for clients like Citibank, Oracle, MasterCard and The Nielsen Company. Alex lived and worked in Zurich, Paris, London and New York. At Beige & Co., he’s in charge of Strategy & Consulting.
Andrew Freeman
Design
Award-winning designer Andrew Freeman holds a BFA and BGD from the Rhode Island School of Design. Before joining the Beige & Co. collective as consulting designer, he worked for Skolos/Wedel, Communication via Design and Pentagram. At Pentagram, he was an Associate Partner to Paula Scher and has developed identity and branding systems, promotional materials, websites, environmental graphics, packaging and publication designs for a broad range of clients including Bloomberg, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Citibank, Target, The Public Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the High Line, NYC Parks, and The New York Times. He’s been the recipient of numerous awards, including the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), Art Directors Club (ADC), and Society of Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD).
Chris Carless
Project Management
A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), with a degree in Architecture from Howard University in Washington, DC, and undertaking a dual master’s degrees in Architecture and Urban Design, and Urban Planning at Columbia University, New York, NY, Chris has built his professional career around the planning, execution and delivery of client projects. He brings 15 years of local and global project management experience to Beige & Co. and has led brand implementation programs for companies including Citibank, AkzoNobel and Pfizer. As founder of a Project Management consultancy with a keen interest in sustainability, Chris is a LEED AP and holds corporate sustainability and green technology certifications from Rutgers University. Chris directs Project Management for Beige & Co.
Ayumi Konishi
Video & Motion
Prior to co-launching Beige & Co., Ayumi was running her own design studio working with clients from the media, beauty and fashion industry, both in the USA and Japan. For over 10 years, she has been involved with the Shiseido Group and its core brands Shiseido Makeup and Clé de Peau Beauté, consulting on visual communications solutions and producing videos for Shiseido’s global online media channels. A graduate from Osaka Fashion Institute, Ayumi started as stylist, fashion editor and producer, working for clients like Sony, Shueisha Group, Newsweek and Figaro Magazine, before expanding into design and communications. Ayumi oversees the video and motion practice at Beige & Co.
